TASTING NOTES

HAZELNUT | CRÈME BRÛLÉE | MANDARIN

This coffee is grown in Brazil's Cerrado region, which is known for its predictable climate. With regular rainfall and an average temperature of 68°F, the consistency is incredibly beneficial to the coffee producers. This allows them to focus on production and quality, instead of concerning themselves with unreliable weather. The weather conditions, in combination with the farmers' technology (like the use of harvesting machines), allow for control and uniformity in production.

This low-acidity roast is excellent on all brewing methods, but we especially love it in a French press or Able Kone to enhance its rich tasting notes and full body.

Caravan's purchase of this coffee contributes five cents per pound to support Casa da Criança e do Jovem Amparense. More information about this organization can be found below.

Casa da Criança e do Jovem Amparense
Founded in the 1980s, Casa da Criança e do Jovem Amparense was created with a specific mission in mind: to provide support, service, and training to children from lower income communities. After some setbacks in the mid-2000s, the foundation was able to reopen in 2016, and again in 2021 after being closed during the pandemic. With the help of its partners, this facility continues to offer courses like music, baking, carpentry, and painting, along with computer training and coffee education. The resiliency of this institution has been instrumental in providing more opportunities for young people in the community. Access to a better future is life-changing, and Caravan is proud to support the work of this remarkable foundation.
